Sundays are usually cafe days. Pre badminton and post badminton are good times to eat, and you can easily justify eating an extra meal as rewards for exercising. Ok that's a completely unhealthy mentality, don't do that, but at least I like to think that it's better than heading to, say, maccas after badminton *cough*

Pre badminton one Sunday. We used to go as a group to have Korean food at Strathfield before badminton because it's quite convenient to meet up there before heading to Five Dock, but we've since stopped. This was long black from Hello! Happy, who does really good coffee. Check out the crema layer!

I find myself particularly disliking lazy baristas now... not talking about the one who made this, at least there's effort involved in making the latte art~

Chai~ I've stopped drinking Chai, though I used to get it all the time. It's a little too sweet for my liking now, and if I didn't want my usual fw, it'd be because I don't want milk. Long black solves the milk problem...

Pishon at Eastwood is a Korean owned bakery/cafe. It's a pretty small place inside, so don't expect to get a seat on the weekends...

I love bakeries. Love baking. Love the smell of bread and cakes and coffee mixed together.

Berry mousse and green tea cake I think. So pretty.

The thing about Pishon is its latte art actually.

Particularly on their green tea latte. I've seen photos where they make a cat face on it, but not when we went. Probably cos it was so busy...

Their cakes were pretty good though. Nothing terribly special, but it was nice~ and they sure heaped on the fruits for decorations! :D

Free cream mocha walnut bread which the ajumma gave all the customers at one point to try. It's a new item I think and she came back to ask us for feedback =)

Assortment of bread and biscuits at the counter.

Korean bakery opposite the counter~ I bought a few breads from them for the next day when I had work.. loved their donnut stick! :D
Might try the Strathfield shop next time, since there's a branch there. I don't know what it is about Korean cafes, but they take so much care into preparing coffees and into their products... more so than even some Italian cafes, unexpectedly. OK, I'm just being biased, had a terrible experience with an Italian pizza restaurant/cafe, which is blacklisted (go join wagamama). I don't care how good their wood fire pizza can be, I'm not going back!
More on that next time when I get around to it...

You can never go wrong with twisty donuts! Mmm!!
Kinda like choco-horns but they can be a bit iffy some times.
Wasn't just any maccas, it was 4 star maccas. It was so bad - the whole place wasn't cleaned.. food scraps all over the tables and floors. Sloppily made stuff too - but at least their fried stuff was well fried.
As for dodgy chocohorns.. Someone bought one for me from the cafe at the Castle Hill Home Center. Bit into the middle of it.. was mouldy inside D:
Exactly! Gotta watch out :P twisty donuts are safer haha (no filling in general I think).
D: You're kidding, mouldy bread? I used to get the chocohorns (cornet!!!) from breadtop... after watching Lucky Star, haha. They are good, but so rich ><
I'm too spoilt when it comes to maccas, cos I really only go to the one at Thornleigh... and it's always super clean and nice, since it's right next to head office :D
Yeah, the Thornleigh one is the trainee store so they'll always try to be perfect since their supervisors are watching.
Used to be our meeting spot for breakfast before heading off to the snow.
you're still bitter about not going to the snows this year aren't you =P
It's already freezing around here so I may as well be freezing up on the slopes...
